Accessing Local NHS Dental Services?

We know that dental health is a big issue in Bradford. One of the most common things people contact Healthwatch Bradford about is ‘How do I find an NHS dentist’?

In 2016, we carried out a survey to find out people’s experiences of finding and seeing a dentist. This found that more than 4 in 10 people did not have an NHS dentist – the most common reason was not being able to find one offering NHS treatment.

While around 90 per cent of people with a dentist said that they’re satisfied with the care they get from their dentist, we also heard that people find it difficult to get to their dentist as it was too far to travel.

We are keen to find out whether people’s experiences of finding a dentist and getting treatment have changed over the last two years, so we’re running another survey, which will also be carried out across the whole of West Yorkshire.

We need your views by completing our short SURVEY.
