Enter and View

Becoming an Enter and View representative could be a great way to get involved and influence improvements in local health and social care. Enter and View volunteers are trained and supported by Healthwatch staff, and will take part in a programme of visits to health and social care settings across the district.

Recently we visited two services in the district for people with learning disabilities: Ambler Way and St John of God. Healthwatch Bradford and District were approached by Bradford Metropolitan District Council to carry out some quality checking on  as people using these services can be vulnerable and often their voices are not heard. These visits provided an opportunity to independently gather the views of the people using the services and their families and carers and find out how the service worked for them. This also allowed Healthwatch to develop our work with People First to train people with learning disabilities to carry out Enter and View visits. Read more...
