Last year, Healthwatch gathered views about GP practices for our Invisible at the Desk report; along with problems in getting appointments, many people had encountered unhelpful or disrespectful reception staff.
In reponse, two local CCGs are now rolling out customer care training, to help staff ‘make each patient feel valued and at ease’.
Four young Healthwatch volunteers were invited to spend time looking around children's wards at Bradford Royal Infirmary. One of our volunteers has written a report about their visit, which you can read in full here.
The Trust have created an action plan to address the issues that our volunteers raised and really welcomed the young people's views.
