Outreach volunteers

It's important that we get out and about across Bradford District to ask people about their experiences of local health and social care services.  This involves attending community events or visiting health and social care settings, to encourage people to share their feedback, views and ideas on how services can improve. Outreach volunteers play a vital role in helping to raise awareness of what Healthwatch is, what Healthwatch does and how people can have their say.

Enter and View (Authorised Representative) Volunteers

We train these volunteers to visit health and social care services to gather feedback and see how well the service is working. This involves speaking to patients, residents, carers and staff, and contributing to reports which highlight your findings and recommendations of how the service could improve. This is a great opportunity to make a difference and influence the quality of local health and social care, and develop your listening and note-making skills.

Healthwatch Helpers

It's important that volunteers join us in the office, to make sure that the public's comments are securely inputted on to our database. This helps us to analyse data for our reports and look into what the public is telling us. Helpers can support us with general office administration duties, design and marketing. This is a good opportunity to develop your professional skills in an office environment.

Healthwatch Stroke Ambassadors

Our Ambassadors are individuals from an organisation or group who listen to and represent the views of people from that group. They collect their group members’ experiences of stroke services and communicate these comments directly to us, and therefore play a key role in improving health and social care services across Bradford District and Craven.
