A quick virtual chat about GP practices in Bradford district

We're asking everyone living in Bradford district - including Keighley, Shipley, Bingley and Ilkley - or anyone registered with a GP practice in the area to let us know how things are working for them in our quick virtual chat.

Whether you've been able to contact your local practice by phone, online form or in person, and whether you've seen a GP, nurse practitioner or social prescriber, we want to know how things are working for you.

Have you been able to get the help you need? Do you understand who all the staff are at your GP practice, and what they do? How is the experience of contacting your practice? What's worked for you, what could be better and how could you be supported to get the best out of local services?

As outlined in our 2021-22 Annual Report, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen a big increase in the volume of feedback and queries we receive from local people about local GP practices.

As 2022 draws to a close, we want to understand how primary care services are working for you now, so next year we can work with the local NHS and GP practices in Bradford district to get answers to your queries and feedback, and help them support you to get the most suitable care from your local practice.

The NHS in Bradford district recently launched a campaign to increase awareness of how GP practices are working, the range of services offered and the specialist team members who are available to help people get the care they need.

Would you be interested in helping us in our work with GP practices in Bradford district early in 2023?

Get your question or feedback answered by a local GP and go behind the scenes at local practices to see how things work

We're looking for volunteers to send in videos of themselves giving general feedback and asking questions, which will be answered publicly by local GPs (also on video).

We're also looking for volunteers to take part in a video project in which members of the public go behind the scenes at local GP practices, talk to staff and find out more about how things are working.

The idea is that members of local communities and local GPs have a public conversation which will help everyone understand more about the issues we're all facing.

If you think this might be something you could get involved with, please email alex@healthwatchbradford.co.uk for more information or contact us here.
